Fees

$295.00 per 55-minute session.

Assessment instruments are administered in the third session, with a fee between $300.00 to $500.00. Again, this is a one-time fee.

After a period of time when I have been able to improve the situation of a particular client, many of my families do not come in on a weekly basis. The standard of weekly psychotherapy sessions has its roots more in tradition than in outcome research. For so many parents who have said, “My child saw another therapist every week for two years and has made little progress” – I hope to do better! Together, we will decide how often we meet, but don't worry that it has to be weekly or forever.

“Do you accept my insurance?”

I made a very difficult decision to voluntarily withdraw from all managed care panels because they do not allow me to provide services in a timely fashion and manner that I believe to be in my clients' best interests. However, my services may be covered as out-of-network for managed care plans.

Families are asked to pay for my services at the time of service. I provide a detailed statement on a monthly basis which clients can attach to their claim form and submit to their insurance company for whatever reimbursement the services may quality for.

There is little time to “shop” for a good therapist and adolescents may not get the luxury of a second chance. Thus, I routinely assist families in locating providers within their plans if they cannot work with me as an out-of-network provider. I give names of in-network providers whose credentials and reputations I believe to be first-rate.
